Changing Your Starting 5

The Short Answer: Go to My Team, tap the right arrow to move to next week, tap "Move" on a club, then tap "Here" where you want it to go. You can only change next week's lineup, and it locks Monday at 11:59 PM Pacific.

When Can You Change Your Lineup?

You can only change the lineup for next week. A week runs Tuesday through the following Monday.

You're always setting up the week ahead.

The Deadline

Changes for next week must be made before Monday at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.

Miss the deadline? Your current lineup carries forward unchanged.

How to Change Your Starting 5

Step 1: Go to My Team

Tap the My Team tab in the bottom navigation.

Step 2: Move to Next Week

At the top of the screen you'll see the current week with arrows on either side. Tap the right arrow to move to next week.

Step 3: See the "Move" Buttons

When you're viewing next week, each club row shows a "Move" button. These buttons only appear for next week. The current week and past weeks are locked.

Step 4: Tap "Move" on a Club

Select the club you want to move. Once you tap "Move," the other clubs' buttons change to "Here".

Step 5: Tap "Here" to Place the Club

Tap "Here" on the position where you want your selected club to go. The two clubs swap positions.

Step 6: Repeat as Needed

Keep moving clubs until your Starting 5 and Bench are set the way you want them.

Example: Swapping a Starter and a Bench Club

Scenario: Napoli have one match next week. Frankfurt have a league game and a cup tie. You want to bench Napoli and start Frankfurt.

Current lineup:

Steps:

1. Move to next week
2. Tap "Move" on Napoli
3. Tap "Here" on Frankfurt

Result:

Frankfurt start next week. Napoli sit. If you want Napoli back the week after, swap them again once that week opens.

What You Can Do

Swap a Starter with a Bench Club

The most common move. Promote a bench club to your Starting 5 and demote a starter.

Make Multiple Swaps

Make as many moves as you want before the lock. Swap two clubs, swap all five, rearrange everything.

Reorder Your Lineup

You can rearrange the order of your Starting 5 or Bench. Order doesn't affect scoring. All 5 starters earn points equally.

What You Can't Do

Change the Current Week

Once a week begins, it's locked. You can only change next week.

Add or Remove Clubs

You can only swap positions between your existing 10 clubs. You can't drop or add clubs.

When to Make Changes

Next week's lineup is open all week, so there's no need to wait. A good habit is to look once the weekend's matches are done and next week's fixtures are clear, then set it and forget it.

Leaving it to late Monday night is risky. Phones die and plans change. If you miss the lock, last week's lineup is used.

Tips for Choosing Your Starting 5

• Check match count: how many times does each club play next week?
• Check opponents: who are they playing?
• Check Europe and cups: midweek European nights and cup ties are extra, higher-value matches
• Check form: are they winning? Scoring?
• Compare starters to bench: look at the PTS, GD and MR columns for each club

What if I don't make any changes?

Your current lineup carries forward to next week automatically. If you're happy with your Starting 5, you don't have to do anything.

Can I undo a move?

Yes. Just move the club back. You can swap as many times as you want before the lock.

Do my changes save automatically?

Yes. Each swap is saved immediately. There's no separate confirm step.

Can other managers see my changes before the lock?

No. Next week's lineup is private until the week begins.
